The Practical
Opening hours are 7.45 am to 6pm.
Fees are not payable on public holidays or for the time between Christmas and New Year when we are closed.
Morning tea, a cooked lunch and afternoon tea are included.
Families provide nappies of their choice.

There are places for children and adults to sit and be comfortable throughout the centre.
It is important that we build authentic connections between home and Deakin. Photographs and sound buttons of parent voices displayed and accessible at children’s level leave a tangible trace of parents in their absence.
Environments that are captivating, meaningful and beautifully presented invite children to engage, to collaborate and to be focussed and thoughtful in their play.
Food and eating have a special significance at Deakin. Interaction and the social pleasures of taking food together are at the core of what it is to be human, developing desirable habits in the ding room is part of learning for life.
An artist working alongside children in the art studio enables us to carry through the high expectations that mark our approach to everything we do.
